Wedding Planning

There is a massive amount of planning involved when organising a wedding and it can be easy to get confused and not know where to start. To help the process with any beauty related wedding confusion I have put together this leaflet and am there to help with every step.

It is never too early to start preparing your body and skin for your wedding day but it is also never too late, there is always something that can be done to have you looking your best, so never panic.

Face – As soon as you can I would recommend a good skincare regime, ideally you will have some sort of regime in place anyway (soap and water doesn’t count!) but a good skincare regime that suits your skin's needs will leave your skin in the best condition possible helping you to look radiant and glow on your wedding day. It is advisable to start coming for a monthly facial where I will do a thorough consultation and can then advise you on the best regime for you, I use Eve Taylor products which is a professional aromatherapy skincare range. It is also recommended to exfoliate once a week. These combined will then give you the best possible results.

Brows - Eyebrows are quite often forgotten about but are important in framing your face and can change the look of your make up quite dramatically, I am trained in Billon Dollar Brows and just one appointment before your wedding combined with your wedding make up can make a difference but it is good if you have time to have a few appointments to get the best results especially in the case of over-plucked brows. Also availble for those over - plucked eyebrows is Brow Boost which helps the hairs to grow quicker.

Body – If you are trying to lose weight and get in shape for the wedding I would recommend a course of Shrinking Violet Body Wraps followed by monthly or when needed maintenance wraps. The wraps work by lipolysis which is a revolutionary method to remove unwanted fat. It is non-invasive, pain-free and many people may reduce by a single dress size in one treatment. This can be combined with a facial for maximum relaxation.

Waxing - If you are wanting to have waxing before the wedding it is important to work out your appointments so that they are timed correctly, waxing is normally done every 4 weeks but please speak to me for more information.

Nails – Regular manicures and pedicures help to grow your own nails, I use Vinylux nail polish which lasts for up to 7 days chip free, dries in 8 and a half minutes and is available to purchase for home use. For those that need or want a little extra strength I use three ranges of Gel Polishes; Artistic Colour Gloss, Gelish and Crystal Nails. All three will last up to three weeks (and in some cases even longer!) and are perfect for holidays and honeymoons. They dry straight away, so no smudges before you even get home. I will also give you a free Cuticle Oil at your first nail appointment which helps condition and strengthen your nails. I also offer Extensions if required, I use high quality Nail Harmony Acrylic or Gel and Nail Extensions applied and removed correctly will NOT damage your nails.

Make Up – It is important to book your make up trial and wedding date into my diary as soon as possible. Once your deposit has been paid I will not book any further appointments into my diary for your wedding date. It is important to me that I only do one wedding per day to give you my full attention so for this reason it is best to book as soon as possible. At the same time I would also recommend booking the appointments that you will need during the week before the wedding to ensure you get the times and days most suited to your plans. I use Airbase Silicone Airbrush make up for more details on the benefits of this make up please see my website.

Spray Tan – If you are considering a spray tan for your wedding I would also suggest a trial, even if you have had one before. This could be timed with your hen night or a night out so as to benefit from the tan. This is best done a couple of months before your wedding.

Lashes – I offer semi-permanent individual, cluster and strip lashes as well as eyelash tinting and perming. All of these treatments require a patch test and I would recommend trialling them before your wedding so that you know how they feel. Again this would be perfect to coincide with your hen night or a night out. This is also best done a couple of months before your wedding.

The Week Before – The week before your wedding is likely to be hectic filled with last minute organising, for this reason it is important not only to fit in your essential beauty treatments such as waxing and nails but also some relaxing treatments to keep you calm before the wedding. Why not have a last facial before the wedding or Hopi Ear Candles are fantastic for relaxation and include a mini facial.

The Night Before – If you can plan to not do too much the night before your wedding so that you can relax and enjoy the evening it is advisable. Before bed carry out the skincare regime that I will have recommended and try to get a good nights sleep ready for your big day.

The Wedding Morning – I will have discussed all the timings with you so that the morning feels organised and not rushed in anyway. You want time to enjoy the moment and enjoy how special the day is, I will be there in plenty of time and will allow extra time for anything that may crop up, but I also know when to leave you and your wedding party to enjoy the day.

I hope this has helped you to plan, there are of course other treatments and options that you may like to consider but these are the basics. For any further information on any of the treatments or other options please visit my website or call or email me.

Take a look at the fantastic website for all your wedding needs.
